Flying ducks - Chris Follows 2006

Found, discarded or forgotten objects are collected and stored and reworked and resurrected into new memories and contexts. Defunct objects are juxtaposed to create a new unusual picturesque Muriel made from his late grandfather’s flying ornamental ducks and a section of reclaimed hoarding.

2000/1 - AIT Group Residency Henley
An allotment built on a section of the Corporate green outside the marketing suite of the prestigious software developer AIT.

An executive style football box/office was created when Chris collected various fragments of natural chalk that were scattered around the grounds at AIT. The chalk pieces were then re-organised into the shape of a mock football pitch. The pitch ran down a steep bank, directly outside the two Directors glass-fronted offices, each office overlooked the pitch.

2000 ‘Springer staircase’ - Commission Awards 2000 - The ray Finnis Charitable Trust More details »
A section of the scenery used in the Jerry Springer TV show was used as inspiration for the ‘Springer staircase’ Summer 2000. Views from the set were recreated and installed on an exterior wall at Wimbledon School of Art, the viewer passed by the scenery as they walked through the inside staircase. The Springer staircase installation framed real life daily interactions played out on the school staircase. The scenery went on to be used in the early development of ‘Jerry Springer the Opera’ at the BAC.
