2004 - Art Cruise exhibition 16th-24th April 2004 Sheldon Square Paddington more details » London based artists Anna Lewis, Chris Follows, Nawfal Salman, Camilla Lyon and Sophie Baker joined forces with 12 young artists from St Augustine's school, Westminster to produce paintings, sculpture and animation based upon the changing architectural landscape of this unique area of the capital. The Creative Cruises introduce young people from inner city schools to the workings and practices of contemporary artists, providing a chance for the young people to work along side them as equals. Digital animation: www.golborne.org - Two day workshop ‘The Arts Cruise’, digital/film collaboration between Chris and 12 young people from St Augustine's school, Westminster exploring ongoing developments around the Paddington basin (2004). The animation was centred on a short film of a canal boat journey down the Paddington basin. A camera was mounted on the front of canal barge as it passed through the new Paddington development. The film was edited and transferred to Flash MX where Chris worked collaboratively with the young artists in developing a series of drawn, photographic and sound animations overlaying the original film footage. www.golborne.org was first created by Anna Lewis and Chris Follows during an artists residency in 2003. golborne.org 2003 is a visual record of their time spent in the Golborne area and has developed into an arts based website focusing on unrepresented arts activities in the area.
