“Various found ‘home’ Internet video footage was captured between 22 -30 June 2006, the found footage has been reworked into a new narrative that leads the viewer through a uncanny maze of international domesticity”

Various ‘home’ videos are captured from random Internet sites, I store and reworked ‘found footage’ into new video narratives or loops. The final result can include over twenty separate pieces of footage edited or composited together to produce a video montage that is redistributed onto the video sites where they first originated; the videos are also converted to DVD and shown in a gallery. I like the possibility that the original  ‘owners’ will come across a section of their own footage re-contextualised. I also find interesting the speed in which the process can manifest itself, somebody can upload their video and within days it can be captured and reworked and shown in a gallery or online.”

'May un Mar Lady' animation test - I've been working on developing the 'May un Mar Lady' (18 years daily newspaper strip) cartoons into an animated cartoon in collaboration with the currently running 'Three decades of Cartooning exhibition' at the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery Stoke UK (see more at davefollows.com)
May un Mar Lady, this clip is the early storyboard stages of the animation, the original cartoons have been voiced over by Joan Dobson and Charles Plant.

Digital Animation

Digital animation: www.golborne.orgTwo day workshop ‘The Arts Cruise’, digital/film collaboration between Chris and 12 young people from St Augustine's school, Westminster exploring ongoing developments around the Paddington basin (2004). The animation was centred on a short film of a canal boat journey down the Paddington basin. A camera was mounted on the front of canal barge as it passed through the new Paddington development. The film was edited and transferred to Flash MX where Chris worked collaboratively with the young artists in developing a series of drawn, photographic and sound animations overlaying the original film footage.
